About

My love affair with photography started in 2008, when I was in my 3rd year of college. I was studying interior design and shooting weddings and portrait sessions for friends on the weekends.

Let me introduce myself

In 2009 I married Josh, my high school sweetheart, and we moved from Austin back to our home town of Boerne. I decided that photography was what I wanted to do. It's ALL I wanted to do. I shot many weddings until we had our daughter in 2012 and then my focus took a beautiful turn. Like many other mom-photographers out there... I didn't want to miss a thing. It has been such a joy to help preserve these fleeting moments of motherhood and fatherhood for my clients.

He rode this tricycle all day, every day. He never looked at me when I photographed him. Always deep in thought about what he was seeing and doing. He's 7 now and I am so glad I have these images to take me back to this simple, beautiful time.

Our Foster baby. He was with us from 9 days old until he was 7 months. My mom took this photo of me working with him in my studio. I captured a lot of precious images of him that day but this one... This one speaks to my heart. When I see my own hands in this picture it brings back all the feels of holding him for those few short months. He changed me, strengthened me and softened my heart. This image is precious to me.

When I walked into the garage to check on Josh and Allie and saw this scene I immediately grabbed my camera. I can feel the chilly air, hear her chattering away and smell the motor oil. My heart just adores this shot because it was just so HER!

Allie was my original muse. It was with her that I realized life was enough reason to bring out the camera. So many of my memories come with a tangible image attached to them. Like this day. The morning after my 30th birthday at 9am when Allie realized we were eating cake for breakfast.

My favorite days as a mom have been the days when we broke from the ordinary. This summer we instituted "trampoline baths". The kids never wanted to come in to get ready for bed, so Josh gave them a few more minutes of fun by washing their hair on the trampoline. They were thrilled and these images ensure I'll never forget this season!

This is my tiny girl. My last baby. She was our happiest surprise.  She was a quiet and reserved baby but it was around this age that she began to show her true self. SO much personality contained in her tiny frame. In this photo, Josh had just finished building the kids their very own splashpad. Our first home held so many fun projects but this was one of the best. She had just woken up from her nap, when I took her out to join her siblings in the water. This photo will always remind me of Josh's love for them.
